I don't know why everyone is saying that Germany played better in the final. I might be biased because I was supported Argentina, but I think the game could go either way. And I agree with lorgi that if they had a better striker they probably would win (ofc Higuain is a top player and still missed a great chance). Palacio and Aguero's lost chances cost them too much. Germany had their chances too, but the difference is that they finished them as good as possible so they couldn't ask for more (maybe except the post). Anyway congrats to Germany, they played very well in the whole tournament!

I mean, you call an anonymous player from Inter but leave out a better renowned (and younger) top striker from Juve? (not saying this just 'cause I'm a Juventino ) if this makes sense to anyone, I'll stop watching football...

Both sides had their chances but Germany showed more overall in the tournament. I am not a big fan of Germans but they deserved the win for sure. Just dont ge it why Messy won the reward as a best player?! Doesnt seem logical at all...

@nerull Sour, cause of 1 - 0, or why don't you like Germany? Germany was dominant and totally superior to Argentina. They had like 70 ball possession and way more goal chances. Arg only ever kicked the ball far and hoped messi would catch it and do something whilst Germany played tactical with a lot of passes and tries. One thing though that the Argsntinians did well was defending. Great work from both sides!

I remember 2 dead chances by Higuain (after terrible display of German defense) and bald padawan as well as Messi's half-chance as far as I recall Germans only had Hoewedes' head-shot after a corner (Schuerle's shot was not that good - maybe half chance as well) imo Argentina was far better than Germans in 90 mins and Tevez would have turned the odds in their favor and yes, Messi didn't deserve it...back here people are pretty convinced Robben deserved it, though I'd personally give it to James Rodriguez btw. I don't like Germany at all (don't ask why )

I agree either Robben or Rodriguez should've gotten it. From what I've seen in the past though it almost always has to go to someone in a team in the final by default.
And looking at that noone in Germany stood out as they played as a team rather a team of individuals.
Rodriguez's contributions made a massive difference to Columbia so I think he would've been a deserving winner.

Theonecabs, following your explanation I conclude that Germany deserved the win! i totally agree. Holland played as a team for like the first tournament ever. I still think they should've beaten Argentina but nvm.

I just dont like germans in general tbh germans were a little lost last night and argentina almost used that opportunity to score a goal. That strike by Palacio was an insane miss
