GWENT: The Witcher Card Game is back and it's bigger than ever before!
On the 23rd October 2018 CD PROJEKT RED, the video-game development studio from Poland well known for creating the Witcher game series and the long awaited Cyberpunk 2077, will be releasing 2 games at once. Yes, you heard it right! One will be the official release for Gwent: The Witcher Card Game that will finally come out of beta and get a huge revamp in almost every aspect of the game with the Homecoming update. IT will simply make the game look and feel way better than ever before. In GWENT, players from all around the world clash in fast-paced duels that combine bluffing, careful deck constructions and on-the-fly decision making. The launch of the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions of the game will follow December 4th. Take a look at the How to Play Trailer: The second one is Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales that will represent the 30-hour single player campaign for Gwent, but also a standalone single player role-playing game set in the world of The Witcher! It combines narrative-driven exploration with unique puzzles and card battle mechanics. You don't have to own a Gwent account in order to play it, it can be a completely separate game. But if you do, you will be able to unlock 20 cards (standard versions) for use in GWENT: The Witcher Card Game and search for their exclusive premium versions during your travels in Thronebreaker. Note: Standard versions of the 20 cards can also be crafted directly in GWENT: The Witcher Card Game. Here is the Official Gameplay Trailer for Thronebreaker: See you on the battlefield!

Color me interested, do I need to play anything else before this??? Not at all, Gwent is a free multiplayer game for itself an a unique one, Thronebreaker is just optional as you actually don't have to buy it. However, if you are more into a Single player game, then the Thronebreaker is for you, since you don't have to own a Gwent account The combo of playing both games gives you rewards for Gwent (like cards and booster packs), and extends it with a Campaign mode... So much for trying to ninja that off....
