I do not feel the quality level of a game has any correlation to cost....

Not more than any other TCG in existence, and less than some others I've played.

I am still playing this but it has degenerated into a game where Legendaries define how good a deck can be.

i don't know about you guys but what the game lacks is a good casual/ladder pvp system. also, i have only played a couple of times where i was able to finish a game. and timed and untimed? i don't get it why they have an untimed feature. it's still fun though because the computer is tough. i just hope next patch the game becomes smoother and better. for now, just dailies.

Unlimited is good because of its asynchronous feature. I played a few games on unlimited with Kelala over the course of a few days without the pressure of having to complete the game within 30 min. I prefer draft tourneys where everyone sets off on level footing. Of course you will have lucky bastards who manage to draft 2 friggin Legendaries. Ridiculous.

I like the game and do dailies occasionally. The computer is fun to play so that makes it still fun. I haven't tried to play real people yet as I have no idea how to make a good deck yet in that game. I agree Dire, a draft would be an awesome feature for this game, I would play that. However, their prices for tourneys are a little steep.

i find unlimited timer weird for a card game that can be done for some minutes.. personal opinion only. sorry.

However, their prices for tourneys are a little steep. Each draft costs 7 tickets. You can either purchase them or earn 1 ticket per day if you win an online match. Its worth while slogging for that 1 online win to gather enough tickets. Last weekend they held a weekend draft (7 tix) where RotF boosters were given as prizes. I pulled a Legendary from the booster prize.

Oh nice, yeah after posting this I checked and saw that there is already a draft option. I didn't know I could win them from getting an online win. I might have to look up a deck to make and try and win a game a day. I would love to try the draft out. Thanks for the info.

Bumping this thread since kelala and samche999 are still active. I only participate in draft tourneys cos I get fed up of seeing Legendary decks. Even so, I still see them in draft tourneys!

Umm, I deleted this from my iPad, but thinking of playing casually a bit... But is there an account I can get back, or would I have to start all over again?
Is this still worth playing ?

Lol, is it account based or device based? Cause I deleted it. But the lack of reaction to my question might say loads about BP's feelings towards Solforge...

What's Solforge?

well, first of all: solforgegame.com/Solforge is a digital card game where you have a deck of 30 cards (max 3 copies of any one card) and have a hand of five cards to work with each turn. Every turn You play 2 of the 5 cards in your hand, creatures on the board fight, and then you move to your next turn, discarding excess cards in hand and drawing a new 5. The trick is that when you play a card, it levels up and is put into your discard pile. every four turns, your discard pile is reshuffled into your deck, and you are able to draw the more powerful leveled cards. I love this game and highly recommend it. It is possible to play free to play but it takes a long time to get a competitive collection that way ( and if you start up now I am not even sure how that works out, as I have been playing since the closed beta). however, the game puts out new content at a great rate, and has a fun organized play circuit run through forgewatch, so I consider putting in a little money to get to a competitive point to be quite worth it. Keep in mind that while the game runs mostly smooth and is available to the public at large, it is still in open beta, so bugs are not unheard of and the final client (and some of the major planned features of the game) are not yet implemented. That said, The designers are excellent and have a great track record and very active communication with the player base on various platforms, and have been making regular progress.

Samche, how's your game going? Despite being there since closed beta, I just couldn't catch up with deck-building.

Pretty good. I have been on the tournament leaderboards twice, though my work schedule has prevented me from playing in the invitational qualifiers. I usually buy about $20 in gold every couple of months or so, and with prizes from chaining tournaments together I have been able to keep a mostly complete collection.
