I've been getting a lot of good cards lately but I've missed posting here. Lots pf card changes coming up soon. Try to balance everything, including the shapers. They will be triggered by cards from their own faction. That'll give sense to mono decks and will probably change the meta. Expect Brightsteel Gargs to own next update! Don't you mean steelforged avatar? Seriously though.... that deck is probably better than the shaper decks already, just harder to build. Expect dreadbolt to be nuts...... in any case I feel like as more tournaments happen there will be a bit more of a progression of the metagame. super excited for drafts too!

Just started dicking around in this today (IGN MistahBoweh). Seems fun. Won't be putting that much time in for now (lots to do, SE work for one) but may replace Spectromancer as my casual go-to card sim.

I recommend just making sure you at least do your dailies each day MB. You can build up a good collection for free over time if you do.

I just ran into Cwhittastic in a draft. That was unexpected.
(and I won, by the way. I had a solid pool with Necroslime and a bunch of armored guys, backed up with Dreadbolt and Darkshaper Savant). Bad news bears for him.
I've been doing all my dailies (plus spent 20 bucks on event tickets a while back, they've been lasting me a bit), so am starting to have a real collection, though my assortment of heroics are still lacking. They just added a rewards system tonight where you earn silver for each online win, not just dailies, though it's only a 15-25 coin boost each. A little something extra for players who go beyond the allotted requirement.

So its no longer limited to 500 silver for the first online win? I suppose that provides an avenue for grinding although I wish there's a way to gather gold.

FOW is still there, as are the other dailies. This is in addition, but honestly is a negligible amount. It seems like it's more of a little something extra for people who actually enjoy playing the game, rather than an efficient use of time.

If you max your small silver boosts, it does come out to a decent boost to your daily silver income. Also if you can crack draft or constructed you get on the gravy train in terms of card acquisition, since alternating 2-1 and 3-0 lets you go infinite now

Sadly, I keep losing the first round of each of my drafts, have to wait a day or two to collect my tix from dailies rather than pure infinite. Still, aside from legendaries, my collection is growing pretty substantially. I have full playsets of the vast majority of commons/rares and, aside from the highly picked draft cards with reduced appearance rates, I have sets of the heroics as well. Drafting builds up one's pool VERY quickly.

I'm awful at drafts. Prefer to play precon instead.

Well, Drafting in SolForge is a different animal, you don't have to worry about signals and sideboard cards and picking cards you might not be able to play and other issues you may have had with mtg/other games. The cards you're given to pick from are randomly generated using a special algorithm which calculates rarity based on frequency of player pick orders, meaning that the more often a card is picked in other pools, the less likely it shows up in yours and vice versa, but you aren't actually drafting with a table of live opponents.

Spoken like a truly well-informed player! Have you been speaking with Kibler?

Nah, unfortunately not. I've met him on the starcity circuit once or twice, but we're not really close or anything.

trying to get on the tournament leaderboards for next week. 39-6 so far What's that? For all pre-con tournaments? You must 3-0 a lot of your tourneys!

Looking to get on the constructed list, like in this article solforgegame.com/news/tournament-leaders-12114/Pretty happy with my deck, as it is both powerful and consistent, and most of the matchups are good: 3 Drix, the Mindwelder 3 Ghox, Metamind Tactician 2 Metamind Adept 3 Grimgaunt Devourer 2 Zimus, The Undying 2 Brightsteel Gargoyle 1 Doomwing, Dire Drake 1 Oreien Justicar 2 Woebringer 1 Hungering Strike 3 Cull the weak 3 Dreadbolt 3 Epicemic 1 Ghastly Touch This is a version of the deck I had been talking with Table1 about on the forums and in a few PMs shortly after, though my version is a bit different than his. Still looking for something to shore up the NT grimgaunt Matchup, as that is the only one that is closer to 50/50 that I have found. Also looking for some mirror tech, since as is that matchup is just a contest to see who can play Drix more. Overall the deck has a number of gears it can switch to for different matchups, and as such I have found it very difficult to pilot. That said, the factions allow for an answer to everything, so there are no unwinnable matchups. If anyone is looking to get in on the solforge leaderboards or prepare for future big tournaments, I am actively looking for a some testing partners.
