Here's a deck I like to fall back on if my random brews start failing me. It can worth both in BO1 and BO3, just depending on what you like to play. I've been back and forth on both Hostage Taker and Thief of Sanity both in the main deck and the side board, currently I'm playing this configuration which has them in neither. This deck is rather expensive to get on MTGA, so if you're new I wouldn't suggest starting here. Please feel free to leave comments / questions below (Note that I cannot take credit for this deck as completely my own). MidLife Krasis Creatures (26)Llanowar Elves x4 Seeker's Squire x1 Merfolk Branchwalker x4 Wildgrowth Walker x4 Midnight Reaper x2 Jadelight Ranger x4 Ravenous Chupacabra x2 Carnage Tyrant x2 Hydroid Krasis x3 Spells (7)Cast Down x2 Find // Finality x3 Vraska's Contempt x2 Planeswalkers (3)Vivien Reid x2 Vraska, Relic Seeker x1 Lands(24)Island x1 Swamp x2 Forest x5 Memorial to Folly x2 Breeding Pool x3 Hinterland Harbor x2 Overgrown Tomb x4 Woodland Cemetery x1 Watery Grave x3 Drowned Catacomb x1 Sideboard (15)Duress x4 Negate x3 Cry of the Carnarium x3 Crushing Canopy x2 Vraska's Contempt x1 The Eldest Reborn x2

Hey mate! I like your list a lot, we have concocted quite similar decks. I'd suggest to try to maindeck some Thrashing Brontodons, I've found them to be an efficient card: either a 3/4 body or artifact/enchantment hate when needed. For the sideboard, I'd say to avoid running Cry of the Carnarium: it could exile some of your stuff, and getting back your Reaper or your Chupacabra can be quite important. I'm running Moment of Craving, but Golden Demise is a good choice too. Also, I put Thief of Sanity in the sideboard, since it is a little gem against control decks. Keep up the good work, and Majulah BP!

The main reason I run Cry over Golden Demise is for dealing with Judy Decks, as the exile clause is quite relevant. And honestly, if you're running against that deck and needing to play the Cry, you're not going to care if you hit a few of your creatures along the way.
