So what are initial thoughts on this fella? Looks interesting but might be nothing more than gimmicky, could be fairly strong though...

as Grubby said on his stream yesterday: "I don't see him not entering the meta." versatility he brings is amazing, he's the dream of every good flex player lack of self-sustain and no cc makes him a T2 hero at best though, but looks very good in 3(maybe 4 is more accurate)-5 range picks
atm he is a bit bugged (he sneaks in 1 extra atack just like Artanis did when he was first released), but that will be fixed very quickly
overall, his mobility is very good, requires a strong support behind him, but can poke well until there's a chance for an all-in worgen attack approach (and even then has better escape options than Butcher for instance) only 1 good ult though and very importantly, on 16 he gets relentless, which is of vital importance for any melee assassin (and so far only monk has that - Butcher's version is kinda too difficult to exploit)
I believe he could have the same importance as Kerrigan, maybe a bit better imo, but certainly competitive viable imo

I wouldn't characterise him as better anything, Valla has much better poke XD he combines 2 quite different roles which is amazing on its own, but his true power lies in worgen form human form helps you lay the ground for worgen onslaught, similar to Thrall's Chain Lightning poke while you're waiting for an engagement
maybe I'd describe like a Butcher or Kerrigan that can actually be usefull without going all-in maybe he's like weaker Thrall (I think his damage may actually be better, and he has more mobility, so that could compensate for lack of self-sustain and cc, or at least I hope it could)

I think worgen could be compared to Zerathul? You're supposed to dive in and disengage quickly.
And human feels kinda weak like a healer's AA + some poke.

Greymane is pretty good, the poke damage as human form is even better from that of lunara(much more bursty). Wolf form damage is insane and he can clean up team fights, similar as illidan but providing more for the team. The problem is he has a High Skill cap. Its not an op hero thats gonna win 60%. More like 40% win rate but in the right hands he can be a very dangerous target. So yeah looking forward to play him 2 weeks from now lol.... damn hots

So, got this dude today with gold discount and can't say I like him very much. Even though I've seen people play him rather well, it's not my kind of hero, feels too complicated kinda like Zeratul but with ranged abilities. Very likely wasted 10 000 gold but w/e have to spend them on something...

if you want T1 hero buy Li-Ming Eh, you don't know that. She feels like stunless Kael'Thas and that's what makes him so strong in addition to burn. Also, I don't like mages so much any way. Even though forced to play them in HL, that's why I don't play it that much.

So, after playing a bit more, I can say it's definitely UP hero, around t3 - doesn't do enough damage, has no control, has no sustain to support diving, heavily reliant on team to damage heroes and then can potentially clear up.
Blizzard just can't produce balanced heroes, they turn out either gimmicky and unviable or OP and just having everything.

I feel like when they make him hybrid melee/ranged they sacrificed a lot and he's worse than melee or ranged only assassin.
Like Thrall is just miles better - he has poke also and there is not big difference between melee and ranged auto attacks, especially with runspeed bonus.
Gimmick of Greymane is interesting but frustrating to play as since the hero is again undertuned.

Thrall is prolly best hero in the game atm (along with KT), it's very unfair to compare anyone with him and ofc that he must be worse than a strict ranged or melee assassin that's a must, otherwise he'd be like having 2 heroes in 1 body (not talking about Cho'Gall )

But what's the point if he's worse? I'd rather pick specialized assassin then. There is no inherent benefit that diversity provides.
Like Tyrande used to damage but little heal, she was obsolete, but once they gave her healing, she became OP, since has damage + healing and control and others don't.

Idk, I'm very scared to do anything with him and have to wait for my team to engage, therefore I don't do that much damage at all.

Somebody said he felt more like a werewolf playing new Reghar rather than Greymane.
