What is the difference between telegram, whats app and irc. For this community i only have been using irc so far and yesterday i have seen the most active people for a while ( like 8 ppl) and that wasnt that many. If the telegram community is much larger then the irc comm than why not switching our plattform? Only because its hosted by a hostile guild ? But thats even more the reason to join it. Showing our faces in a public place as a competitive guild that knows a lot about this game and can discuss about it on a high level will only attract more people to join our guild. Or not?

No, it's not about a rival guild using it.
By all means, yes, if it's anything like line app chat, it's much better than irc.
The issue becomes complicated when all the mods are of the rival guild. This means they might kick people for no good reason or prevent others from joining.
But yes, we should get on telegram as suggested

The reason for not having our own telegram channel is simply because it's not needed. Our members are less active full stop. Adding a new chat platform isn't going to suddenly bring our members back to being regulars again. As I've said before, people are free to join the SE telegram and do whatever the hell they want, but there really is no point in using telegram as a guild chat. Irc is already set up, it works well, and is secure. With telegram, anybody in the room can invite somebody, meaning all it takes is one troll (like certain people we've had in the past) and the room could become comprimised.

Irc works fine, if anybody has trouble with it, plenty of us know how to resolve issues, another chat platform just gives another thing for active members to manage. We should focus more on getting the guild active again before we can manage multiple chat platforms that we don't really need imo

Well, is there no way to create an own telegram channel? We can, that's what we're talking about (I think). The SE public chat is a community chat. However we can start our own private chat room as in WOTBP.

I do not have any expirience with telegram and same goes for irc so i really do not care about which program we use. If the guild sticks togothere and everyone is using the same program (telegram or irc or whatever) i am fine with it.

Yeah.... I wanted to..... But I got busy. If anyone of u wanna start a LINE chat SE group, go ahead. But be committed to make it a success. A lot of work is coming in my way and hence I have hardly time for games now, much less SE. If I have any spare time for games, the first choice will be SE.
I will join the LINE group if anyone creates one. My tip: don't make it as a 'rival' app to challenge telegram: the reason why I suggested line (and some of u too) is simply becos we are already using it with our other games/friends. I am sure many Se forum users also uses line. I am pretty sure telegram and line are pretty similar but I am reluctant to download and use another app - it makes sense to use line for all my social games.
