yes guys! Hearthstone is live! just saying.
anyway my name in the game is Superband with battle tag # 1673. kindly post yours if you don't mind. i'll reserve the next post on this thread to comply our battle tag #'s.
anyway, here are my tips for my bp brothers who will be trying out the game.
after doing the tutorial and unlocking all the heroes, have a feel of the game by doing casual games. familiarize yourself with the commonly used cards and combos as well.
don't use your gold in buying packs. it's much efficient to do arena runs (like meltdown in se) with your gold but yeah, before doing arena, it's much better if you already know the game a bit.
here's a good arena draft tiers page:
docs.google.com/spreadsheet/pub?key=0AifXEOqTcGcLdFVvWk1GRjVJTHJUaTVLcGViR1RRTFE&gid=15
my tip when you play arena is prioritize board control at all times and trade minions efficiently and wisely. when drafting , have a good spread of your cards as well. i mean the early, mid and late cards here.
in constructed play/ladder/ranking matches, experiment. don't be afraid to lose. and learn from those. collect cards from your favorite heroes and make a deck out of it. there are a lot of sites that you can search for decks and guides as well so do your thing. youtube is also very helpful. i watch a lot of hs games there. really fun to watch.
anyway, yeah the game has a lot of RNG in it, randomness, but personally, i like it. the game, like other card games, heroes have good and bad matchups , meta, luck of course, RNG a lot for this game, card combos, etc. so it's really fun imo. another thing why i like it is i have been playing warcraft since i was in grade school so i can relate to the characters and so on and so forth. nuff said. peace out!
