If you're familliar with Fallout 1/2, DIsgaea, Fire Emblem, XCOM, Advance Wars, Final Fantasy Tactics, Jagged Alliance, or any grid-turnbased game for that matter you'll feel right at home with DoW. There's only three factions so far with 1 group each (but I think they have plans to put in 2 more for each faction bringing the total to 3 factions and 9 groups). Each group has 8 (I think) units you can recruit and level up. The levelling system works like XCOM (or Bastion) where you can choose one of two upgrades per level up. So far, I'd say it's far from pay to win but there is some amount of grinding involved if you are going the f2p route. www.dogsofwaronline.com/forum/portal.phpThere are hardly forum topics to read, but it just went open beta so that's that. It's currently available on Steam though I'm not sure if they have plans to expand to other platforms.
