Well, Infinity Wars will have it's third set released before SF hits main server..... Though to be fair their sets contain only 100 or abit more cards.
Then again, infinity wars only finished kickstarter for the game in december 2012, SE had long been out then.

119 from core set
100 from Rise set
100 from Infestation
They have for now a smaller card base than SE, but they are really taking advantage of it being a digital game where they can always balance older sets and release single cards from new sets.
The future set (Ascension) is having its cards being released one per week via quests (2 common cards for now) and you cant use them in ranked play until the full set has been released, thats a way to avoid unbalanced cards to ruin the meta

Installation took me a lot of time... I finished the tutorial game but I still have to fully get game mechanics. At first glance FTA seems reduced but class and faction restrictions seem silly, I hope to find time to test it more.

There is no FTA in the game. Each round as played together, according to the attack and defend mechanics.

Mechanics are a little hard to get, try doing all the academy, the bigger problem is to get the initiative system

Yep there is only initiative, you can see who has it, the one with the green letters, that means he has the initiative for that turn, meaning his abilities trigger first...
