It's only a PC or Mac game right now. They do have plans to make it into a mobile game in the future as that was part of the kickstarter.

Just an update for those of you interested in playing this game, it is now in open beta. If you go to hextcg.com you can now play the game and it's awesome. They don't have the PvE in yet but it's getting close. They really need lots of people to sign up now to do major stress tests. 2 weeks ago I participated in an 800+ person tourney. They are working super hard to make sure the game is very stable. I think they can run 128 person tourneys with no problems now. I mostly just play 8 person Swiss draft and I love it. I like draft because it's more fair to play, it doesn't matter who has the better card pool. Plus, in this game you keep the cards you open. great news! I would need to spare some time for this, If I could...

Hex now has the Frost ring arena to play. It is F2P and it is PvE, so you play against the computer. There are 4 tiers and with the free starting deck you can probably defeat the first teir. While doing this you will earn in-game gold to buy new cards and maybe get some wins in the later teirs. The AI is pretty good and lots of fun to play. I have been playing this game lots now and it is really fun. It is more complex than SE and I find that more challenging because there is interaction happening on each others turns. It's a very similar game to Magic the Gathering. They aren't on mobile yet but they are working on it for the future. I highly recommend trying it out because its free and everyone loves that. www.hextcg.comOh, and it's still in beta but anyone is welcome to play, you don't need a key anymore.

It's free Meeklosh. You get a starter deck to use and get in-game gold when you beat the AI. You also get cards and items that you can sell on the Auction House to buy more cards. There are guilds too and most people will give out all the common and uncommons that you need if you ask nicely because they don't really sell for much anyways.
I spent $10 on the game to buy a few cards to make a good deck where I can clear the Frost Ring and get great rewards. Normally you lose after 3 defeats and have to cash out at that time, the further in you make it the better rewards you get.

Watch this video if you want to know more about Hex and it's Free to Play model.
I have spent only 35 bucks and I have a great deck to clear the arena every time. I have also sold cards and got my 35 bucks back in in-game currency.
You can easily play for free and build a decent deck like in the video.

Yeah, that was my question actually. I know it's free, but if you want to get some good cards to start with right away, 35 bucks is the right number?

Not 35 bucks I would think less than 10 bucks and you can get clearing the arena. The 35 bucks was my slacker backer ($25) plus $10 to make my arena clearing deck.
So, just like the video says, you can use the dwarf starter and then use less than 10 bucks and you can have an arena clearing deck. Once you have that you can farm until you drop. I spent $10 bucks on the cards for the deck because I was impatient and didn't just wait for bid cost of the cards, I went the buyout route.
The 25 bucks was my kickstarter contribution so I got a lot of great value out of it. You won't need to spend that much to get 1 decent deck to clear with. I have a couple decks that I can use because of this. However, common and uncommon cards are very cheap and if you join a guild many people have lots and lots of these cards from the kickstarter. Many of those people are happy to help people get started by giving them some common and uncommon cards.
