For a buck. Old genesis game, like mario pinball land except the sonic IP, so much more fast paced and it includes platforming elements. I remember playing this as a kid and have been killing some time on it today. loads of fun.

on the topic of old games. i just found: Marvel vs Capcom 2, is on rentina display small apple devices and ipad2/3. Love it on ipad.
Many characters to unlock (20 odd?!), (full roster: 56 playable characters!) just like PS/xbox/arcade version. Fans of infinite air-combos will be disappointed though - the controls are not sensitive or reactive enough for me.
It does feature 2 diff button systems; great for noobs (simplex swipe sys) and experienced players who needs the LP, LK, heavys, etc.

Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 and Soul Calibur are there as well. I bought Street Fighter IV back when it was a buck for disaster relief sales and haven't seen a need to buy a different fighter, though.
The original Prince of Persia dos games are on the store as well, if I recall.

i think i have MK3, did not play much though. I am keen to play Street Fighter Volt. Soul Calibur i might get it just for nostalgia. And yeah, SF IV is the best one out there.
There are a lot of other old Sega games on apps that i like too. Some I would avoid but Streets of Rage II/III are super. So is Golden Axe 3 (i hate 1 and 2)
