So here is a small section that I'll do for mobile OS's as I see them. Kinda mini reviews and the like. Nothing incredibly spectacular neither. Maybe later I'll do a deck review or something...
Anywho the name of the game is Star Traders RPG (calling it ST) for short, and it is a simply deviously evil game totally worth your time. The game gives you the role of a captain who is basically clueless starting off (seriously...play for 15 and let me know what objective you have), with a goal you set in mind. In general, you want to be successful, but you limit it with skills and inventory. Also, you practically get free form. Want to be a smuggler, go on ahead. Got a new ship for merc work? Swap to that one and have a blast.
Much like a strategy RPG, there are stats, although remembering what you can and can't do gets tedious (Hi, I'm a merchant ship, but a friend needs help so I'm going into enemy territory to bail him out. I'm only level two so I can't lose; I died in 2 mins). Fortunately, the choice is made easier if you get the free version...one ship, one class (how did I go from too many options to no options?)
Difficulties in general mess with your ability to die and enemy ships. At normal, enemy ships are 35% in power to you, and you can't die. In impossible, ships are 3x better tha.n you and you barely make money, but it's definately a challenge. You can also die. What a shocker!!
The best thing about this game would easily be that you can learn it through trial and error, much like SE, and you can do quite a lot in the game. While in the beginning, you are heavily restricted, you can easily turn that around in 2 hours. I would recommend the free version first, solely because if you get the full version without trying it, a rageuninstall is inevitable. The elite (purchased) gets more regular updates, additions, and fresh ideas more readily than free, and more options starting off, as well as a bigger map.
In general, I would say give this little game a try, and don't throw your phone in frustration. Also, if you have the proboards app you can see the forums!
I'd give this game 4/5...
Pros: Lots to do, things to see, freeform RPG in the purest sense. Also uses Proboard Mobile App.
Cons: You can get confused quite easily, and figuring out what to do takes up most of the game. Options are limited in Free version, but can be too overwheming in Elite version.
