I wish I knew what happened to Jesse too but I don't think I would enjoy it as much as I want it. I'm fine with the series as a whole, and the spinoff.

maybe walt just wanted to make jesse suffer more, hired a hitman to wait for him at brock's house and kill them both when he shows up

Ok, here's crosspost from sen to explain my opinion:
The show is good at dramatic moments, to me some drug related stuff was really depressing.
What I didn't like however is character development. It's inconsistent as hell.
Let's take Jesse, at first he's just comically silly, he always messes things up, but then he becomes badass criminal and saves Gus. Well, it's plausible, just not very synergistic and natural. But, he at least doesn't stop getting in trouble, so he retains that function, it's persistent.
Now, Skyler. First time she finds out that her husband is criminal, she's in denial. Understandable. Then what she does? She goes on and gets involved. Why? Unclear, but that's not the point. Then she's in denial again and tells Walt that she's his hostage. And she will continue to do her work. That just doesn't make a lot of sense to me.
Ok, time for Heisenberg. He evolves rather quickly from humble teacher to badass stone-cold killer. First time he wants certain minimum amount of money, then he wants more (even though he can't spend it). First time he hesitates to kill a person, almost never again though. At last he wants to build an empire and tells that work is all that is left. The next episode he wants to quit.
All in all, inconsistent character. I would say there are two different characters: Walter White, caring about his family, but always lying to it, having unrecognized talent, but overall humble person (or, at least, forced to be humble).
The second is Heisenberg, who won't stop before anything to achieve his goal.
Those two don't blend together very well. And the transition is not demonstrated well enough imo.
Also there are a lot of filler when, I feel, nothing happens, but hey, it's a TV series.
A gigantic plot hole.
Jesse wants revenge for killing Combo, then it leads to child murder, so he's out for blood. Walt saves him, runs two thugs over with a car. Talks with Gus to save himself and Jesse. And it's the initial conflict. But it makes no sense. Two thugs killed, so what? Why Gus would kill Walt because of that? Why couldn't they just figure that out?
Then Gus turns Jesse into a mobster and wants to separate him from Walt, so he could finally take him out. But Walt then poisons Brock and convinces Jesse, that it was Gus. That Gus used Jesse's ricin to poison Brock, so Jesse would be against Walt. However did Gus even knew about ricin? Did he knew about Brock? Unlikely. He had no opportunity to know about Brock, and if he knew about ricin, he wouldn't invite Jesse into his house and cook with him.
So, as I said, storyline is quite inconsistent too...

I agree that character development is decent. I am not fan of the character development. I mainly focus on the story and the action. There are many times where I actually feel asleep through some episodes becuase it is just sooooooooooo dammmmmmmmmm slow. Besides that I like the unpredictability of Walt and his BADASSerry. Jesse on the other hand is a boy who became a man and Walt is there to guide and love him. Overall, the journey was so much better than the endings. I was kind of expecting the ending that he would keventually die. It is really just to close all the loops

i agree with some of the points that unruler brought. I didnt see inconsistencies, butif i did it would be jesse. gilligan did plan on killing jesse first season but then sticked with the character instead. I personally hate the jesse character the most, he's little conscience steps in the way of making any rational decision.. he ruins the whole thing for everyone, specially walt.
Walt was wanted dead before that by the mexican mafia, they where pressuring Gus to get rid of him. I never thought the mafia had to do with it. They were only gonna kill walt for it. But then he says he needs jesse to cook, and Walt become problematic. Gus was going to kill walt as soon as his cook learned, but having jesse as assistant prevented that.
i personally liked the contrast, and it was just normal to me that he couldnt be a drug lord living up to his old ways. I liked the character transformation. He felt smarted than everyone in that field cause he was. To me it was what he was looking for, and you start seeing it from the beginning, when he quits at the car wash, when he defends Jr. His transformation had to do with the cancer deadline, he became careless cause he was going to die anyway.
I do however agree a lot with the ricin thing... The whole thing was shady, i still dont know how could the bouncer have picked his jacket so well lol. and then the whole thing was left unexplained, no one knows how he got the kid to do it, also they later suggest it was in the froot loops.. i didn't like that part of the story

Well I do have a response for all of those. Need to get on a PC. But imo I think your lack of satisfaction in the finale is just a product of your lack of investment in the show. If you were in it for the drama alone then your interest in the show is pretty confined in that borders. BB has always been stretching realism to provoke the drama but I don't agree it had horrible character development. I think the problem here is that it's just not your cup of tea.
It's like me trying to watch Big Bang Theory in a way. I'm in it for the one liners alone, everything else I don't care about. I did stop watching the show since I felt like if didn't invest that much in the show why do I watch it still. It's pointless so I just did other things.

I think it is OK to suspend disbelief a little on character development. While I think you could criticize some of it as improbable. I don think it was impossible. To me all the characters had reasons developed for their choices, wether we agree with them or not.
I liked the ending. It was pretty much a a predicted and don't think there would have been a better way.

A lot of people hate Skylar for being boring. i agree with some of the points that unruler brought. Well, it's all Jesse's point, it's his role in the series to mess things up and Heisenberg has to fix that, it's actually more realistic than killing every other dealer he have to deal with. Well, Gus saved Walt from the mafia. He actually redirected them to Hank, maybe that's why Walt is so angry with him, and Gus knows it, but it isn't well explained. Gus tells Jesse that leaving Walt alive wouldn't work, but doesn't tell why. Well I do have a response for all of those. Need to get on a PC. But imo I think your lack of satisfaction in the finale is just a product of your lack of investment in the show. If you were in it for the drama alone then your interest in the show is pretty confined in that borders. I did stop watching the show since I felt like if didn't invest that much in the show why do I watch it still. It's pointless so I just did other things. Speaking of endings I liked Face off much more than this one. Honestly, Felina just felt uninspired. Yes, we know Heisenberg owns everybody, but he has to do it in an epic way also (imo). Personally, I don't believe that cancer diagnosis is able to twist the whole man's personality inside out. It's the mater of character, if he has badass in him, he would've broke bad long time ago. Also, I don't expect to resort to the crime a man who is smart. He would rather cook meth than take "charity" from his former colleagues, yet works for 20 years in school and car wash. Isn't it humbling experience? It's plausible overall, but still, character development isn't strongest part of the show and definitely not its focus.

Finally finished the last episode! Now I can finally read this thread. Hope it's good! Ha. Got to say I was pretty happy with the ending compared to endings of other series. I was rooting for Walt to not die and wished they steered away from the normal "drug dealer/ users always die or go to jail in the end". But I guess that is how it is in the real world Haha. Anyways will read the thread and comment more.

Will it still gather money even if I'm not on the computer? Ask Zig, I haven't actually played it, lol. I played some similar games, and it was enough of that for me.
