So Kyle made a post regarding switching the server to an Authoritative Socket Server aka ASS aka Project Jasmine to prevent hackers and make the server more stable. Anywhoooo... I was reading one of his post in his thread He mentioned something about automated tournaments on one of his posts here"It should be going on the test server first in about a week or so. This is an important first step before we introduce the automated tournaments!" So my question for u is, what are your thought/ feelings/comments/concerns about this upcoming feature? Personally, I'm excited but I'm not sure how fast this can be implemented

Lol! These ol' bones would be crawling back online more often for some games then.

Great feature, one should remember that not all players come to the forum. And if they don't they will not know that there's tourney going on. I didn't before I began going to the forum.
Also this opens up other options such as leaderboards (hope its based on quality not quantity)

But this will be much more exposed to rigging. Because most of the players are unknowns.

I'm not so exited about updates as i were in the past, because they are bringing a lot of bugs and issues lately, I remember when they introduced drag&drop, it's a nice feature but still not fully fixed... I don't want to sound pessimistic, so I hope that it'll turn out great. I'm one of those who loves the frequent improvements and updates. DEATH TO THE TIMER OF DEATH! DEATH TO THE SYNC ERRORS! HAIL TO THE PROJECT JASMINE'S ASS lol

Voted yes becuase it would be great for players in general. For me is the same because i like the way they are right now, but thinking in all the other players i think is a great implement

I think even TO should be allowed to create automated tournaments, a TO should be able to set up certain rules and having an initial Hero Lock, Deck Lock settings or even have an entry deck that cannot be change during the tourney. If this is implemented I think this would just make everyone happy and avoid cheaters who change their decks during deck lock tourneys

I fear it will be rather limited or awkward in some way, imagine trying to code slugfest or some of the other "odd rules" tournaments.

MMdoc tcg already had it, like some daily or weekly tournament.
The idea might have come from me; I was talking to ubi devs 16 months ago about what I would love to see In digital tcg and voila!
I also spoke highly of SE's online community and voila! Mmdoc's in game chat, friend list, direct links to forum discussion, devs/beta tester's interaction with users, etc.
Not claiming credit; but if one follows mmdoc, they have clearly done their homework and wants to eat up SE's market share.

Yeap, MMDOC have implemented such format about a month ago. Using tournament tickets, this way they earn money from tickets sale as well cost it cost about 1 euro if I'm not mistaken. But they do give out 10 free tickets to everyone n chances to win more if we won something. DoC certainly r doing their homework n if SE doesn't moves fast enough, they will be far behind as their second expansion will be out this month after their first one out in December compare SE.
