I got an invitation in the closed beta....
Simultaneous damage is wonderful! The coin is very interesting. They know how to create counter cards, perfect shot cost 0cc in hearstone!! so you can play something else the same turn. Hex 3cc transforms any allies in a 0/1 frog Sheep 4cc transforms any allies in a 1/1 sheep Divine shield to negate the first damage received! Taunt allies (a protector that also prevent opponent allies to attack your hero! but you can still target all allies on board with spells) Stealth, this seems to be a very powerful ability, the ally cannot be targeted by spells or allies until it attacks one time.
I think hearstone copied shadow era, I don't know if shadow era copied world of warcraft, but the gameplay is so similar.... but simultaneous damage is really a positive game addition. You are no more stuck with only allies in your hand when going second. The fight for the board is still the major issue of each game. There is so many powerful cards. Right now, I think the game play is still balanced since you can only put 2 copies of each card in your deck and 1 copie of each legendary card.
Maybe I will change my mind at some point when I will climb higher.

Wulven took ideas from wow tcg, so don't think blizzard have now deliberately copied shadow era.

like meek said, SE copied WOW not the other way around.. I used to play WOWtcg quite a lot and the first time i saw SE i couldnt believe how bold of a copy it was. The card frame, symbols, shapes, stats, gameplay.... practically everything is the same except for shadow energy and weapon durability. ( Also less card types and abilities)

Is still in a closed beta stage, so you need a key in order to play it. It will be open in december. Not sure about the ipad, but there is a windows and mac version. They are planning to expand it for android and iphone next year.

I've seen game plays. It is definitely pay to win but you can see their "cards" are not same as SE but their server is fast as hell. And well it's an interesting take on tcgs. And based on what I'm seeing blizzard might also sweep the online tcg market.

Ya, there are still some OP cards and farming gold for buying packs is really sloooow, so it's kinda pay 2 win, but the game is fun...They are still balancing it and changing some stuff from time to time, like how much gold do you get for winning and so. The main thing to get some cards and gold fast is the arena!
