Just noticed this new TCG on Google Play. It's from Gamevil. Just added/updated today, only around 1k dl's. Seems to have a Pokemon feel to it. Anime type monsters, and they can evolve. Kind of confusing to me. When you play your cards to attack, the characters pop out of the cards and attack with animations, so that's cool. Only played it about 15 min, but I might give it another try to figure it all out. Has single player storyline, online ranked leader board. I feel like it might be a pay to win game though, Gamevil only seems to care about money. Not sure if it's available for iOS or not. That's all the information I have right now.
Seems like it is on iOS, and has been out for a bit longer there.

A quick googling around reviews seems to agree it's a bit pay to win

Come to think about it...all tcgs have some element of pay to win. Even SE has a model where, essentially, you have to procure a ton of SC that either you earned or paid for to get all of the cards. If you earned them in a tourney, someone paid for them.

Pay to win is more akin to games where stronger things are only available for purchase with actual money. Or if through an endless amount of money, you could infinitely progress. If you could pay, say 5k SC's to add a static +5 to your heroes starting health, then sure. Money is not a substitute for skill here.

Of course not. However without SC starting off can be a hassle if you dont know what to do.

Oh yeah, of course. What I meant though was that initially it seems this game might just end up being a money sink, and they aren't necessarily interested in making a fair or balanced game.
