Hey there,
as perhaps already predicted by maxi1230: Here I am!
Some of you might know me by my IGN: ETC Sleipnir. But let me come back to that later and start with introducing myself first. My real name is Arne, I'm aged 29 and married with 2 wonderful kids (2 and 5 years old). A third one is on it's way and hopefully will join us mid of july this year We're living near Hamburg, Germany in a relatively small town. If I am not playing SE or spending time with my kids I am selling cars and motorbikes for Suzuki. This job has for sure some disadvantages like working 24h/7days but also comes handy when you need 1-2 hours of freetime in between.
My "career" as a tcg-player has started back in ´96 when a friend of mine showed me Magic: the Gathering. Though, even if my pocketmoney didn't really allowed me to play this I've got additcted pretty fast. 12 years later and bunch of tourneys, championships (3rd at german nationals once) and more I was still playing this game. I almost spent all my youth to this game. I guess it's a nature of my personality to play tcg. I slowly stopped playing M:tG actively around 2008-2010 (well, girls girls girls... you all know this, eh?). But I was always browsing through the net to fullfill my neverending thirst for knowledge. I guess this makes me at last to a professional theorycrafter.
During the last years, when smartphones popped out, tcg's came to the tablets and smartphones and I restarted playing simple cardgames there. And someday I discovered Shadow Era.... after some casual gameplay I was looking for a more competitive way and asked ETC for a home. Well, I've found a place in that guild and still am very satisfied with it ( the guild and their members). It's organized well, there are different activities in the forum and a group chat. But lately people started to stop playing SE and went over to play hearthstone actively. This of course was an uimpact to the forum and the activity of the members. No more SE but therefore hearthstone all over. something I am not very happy with. During the klast days I often met maxi1230 in QM's and we always had a lot of fun and great, competitive matches. He told me that I should apply... so I did and do.
I already posted a threat in our ETC Forum that I am going to leave them, so they won't be suprised if you're going to ask.
I probably won't be able to join any 7-8hrs lasting tournament at all, but will force to challenge single players at an spoken time to have some fun and mess with. So I would say that you can count me to the competitive / active players (about 15 (quick)matches each day with a variety of decks). Last season I was placed 98th scorewise. My highest rating was 296 (playing Loest Rush).
My IGN yet is: ETC Sleipnir
My Forum name: Sleipnir85
As I am most of the time playing competitive decks I want to ask you if I have to post a deck introduction as it will for sure be something like talking again about on of the big decks seen all aorund these days. If wished I would, of course
Feel free to ask anything I missed to name or you wanted to know.
Waiting impatiently for an answer now...
Cheers
Arne
