As we discussed earlier, Shadow and Humans are the two main groups in Shadow Era, and we now understand what kind of player: Late Game, and Early Game, player you may wish to be. But, hold on a second. I don't think you have enough medals to get that deck. Let's focus a bit more on the kinds of cards there are.
A player has several different cards to choose from, but the main choice he needs to make is his Hero Card. Hero Cards tend to not only represent his faction, but what he can and can't do. A Rogue Hero can definately hinder an opponent, from having weapons and allies on the board, to preventing said opponent from hitting his. However, I wouldn't want him to learn how to Shield Bash. Vice versa, would you trust a heavily armored fellow to carry out Assassination missions. Of course not (unless you want to be amused, of course). Here is a medal: (Bleep Bloop: Balderdash- Read a random person's rants for a bit).
But, in this current day and meta, a player cannot expect (there are exceptions of course) win a battle by hero alone. So, we have Allies. Allies are creatures who can supplement both the hero and other allies in the battlefield, dealing damage to the Hero and other Allies, and in general are a big nuisance. But, rest assured they are your friends. Your neighbors. Your neighbor's annoying son that recently left a burning brown bag on your porch. Yea, he is an ally too.
We also have weapons and armor, but not just any weapons and armor. Your allies should have been prepared, but sometimes a hero is more concerned about coordinating his allies then actually fighting, but if a Deathbone comes up to you, wouldn't you feel silly.
AbYsMaL's Journal: The weapons and armor a hero uses is very interesting. There is an Sword I hear that can take away your and your opponents history and switch them around, as well as armor that kills any enemy to hits you instantly. But, they are soo potent that they tend not to last for long in any game, unless you found a way to make more.
Finally, you have your abilities. Abilities tend to be just that, skills that your hero uses to give him an edge. Be advised though, some allies to a degree count as abilities for purposes of deck creation (for example, Rogues have a card called Nightshade, which are very deadly creatures, where as Elementals have sparks that do the everyday tasks needed for Shadow Domination.). Some heroes, like Mages, have more damaging abilities than others like Priests, which tend to support more allies and of course heal and teach people to read things like latinese or something. But, why read when you can hit things?
Summary: There are several different card types in Shadow Era, but predominately, you have your Hero card, your Allies (or creatures), your Equipment (Weapons, Armors, and Items), and Abilities (from a Fireball to a Shield Bash).
Next up: Classes!!! (No, not the boring ones...the semi boring ones.)
